Our Story
The Mellow Difference
Mellow Fellow was founded in 2019 in South Florida by a PhD chemist, a licensed pharmacist, and cannabis industry entrepreneurs who shared a single conviction: hemp-derived products should be formulated with the same rigor as pharmaceuticals. That science-first philosophy shaped everything that followed.
From 2019 to 2021, the founding team spent two full years on research and formulation before bringing a single product to market. While other brands rushed to launch around individual cannabinoids, Mellow Fellow developed a proprietary approach to mood-specific cannabinoid blending — combining multiple cannabinoids, terpenes, and delivery methods to target a specific experience rather than a single compound. The result was the Destination Series: curated blends like Euphoria, Creativity, Dream, Tranquility, and Desire, each engineered for a distinct effect.
Milestones
From Lab Bench to National Brand
2019 — Founded in South Florida. A PhD chemist and a licensed pharmacist join forces with cannabis industry entrepreneurs. The team begins two years of formulation research focused on mood-specific cannabinoid blending.
2019–2021 — Science-first development. The founding team develops and refines proprietary blends combining THCp, THCh, delta-8, delta-9, and natural terpenes. Every formulation is lab-tested through multiple iterations before reaching consumers. The Destination Series concept takes shape — products designed around a target experience, not a single molecule.
2022 — M-Fusions launch and rare cannabinoid expansion. Mellow Fellow introduces the M-Fusions edibles line, featuring live resin infusion at 1000mg potency. The brand simultaneously expands into rare cannabinoids including THCp disposables, THCh vapes, and THCa flower, becoming one of the first brands to offer the full spectrum of legal hemp-derived cannabinoids.
2023–Present — Retail partnerships and category growth. The product line grows to over 250 SKUs spanning seven categories: disposable vapes, vape cartridges, edibles, THCa flower, concentrates, syringes, and THC drinks. Mellow Fellow ships to all 50 states from South Florida, with a minimum order of $100 and free shipping on orders over $200.
